Tesco will go back to court tomorrow in a battle to obtain an alcohol licence for the proposed Castletown store.
It’s the second time this year that the retail giant has been before the court in a bid to gain permission to sell alcohol from the Callow’s Yard site.
Castletown Commissioners objected to the plans in April and will be once again be contesting the application.
According to the local authority it believes that the 13 outlets already selling alcohol in the town are enough.
And chairman of the commissioners, Kevin Weir says it’s nothing personal:
