St John Ambulance appeal for more volunteers

Tue, 11 Sep 2012

St John Ambulance is appealing for a new intake of volunteers to help carry out lifesaving work on the Island.

The charity is running a new 16 week pathway programme for potential volunteers which will start next Tuesday.

Over the course of the training you will learn basic first aid skills as well as more about the work St John Ambulance carries out including manning big events like the TT and MGP.

As well as first aiders the charity is also looking for support in a number of other areas including fundraisers and clerical officers.

Commercial development officer Phil Bennett says volunteers can give up as much or as little time as they can.
