There are just under 1,000 people unemployed on the Isle of Man.
New figures released by the Treasury today show that there were 992 people out of work at the end of August – a rate of 2.2 per cent.
During the month 250 people signed on and 275 people signed off giving a fall of 25 in the total registered unemployed.
Of those not working 675 are men and 317 are women.
A total of 580 vacancies were notified to the Job Centre during the month with 305 positions still on file.
