The Department of Health has gone into partnership with the Isle of Man Alcohol Advisory Service.
According to Health Minister David Anderson the new arrangement will ensure a consistent, effective service for those with addiction problems.
He also says developing a partnership with a single agency will have a significant impact on reducing contractual costs which allows for further development of services.
The department says it plans to make an announcement over the details of the arrangement in the due course.
