A call has gone out to the public to ensure they have clear drains, gutters and grids in the event of more heavy rainfall.
Last night’s downpours resulted in multiple flooding incidents along the east of the Island.
Many roads were made impassable by the flooding, with the flood water dislodging manhole covers in some incidents.
Fire crews worked alongside the Police, Civil Defence, Douglas Corporation and DOI teams to deal with the flooding and ensure public safety.
The flooding was brought under control shortly after 10.30pm.
