An Isle of Man registered vessel has been seized by pirates off the coast of Togo.
The ship was in the process of discharging gas oil at a patrolled anchorage at the port of Lome when it was seized.
It still has 24 crew members onboard.
The Island’s Ship Registry has passed on their thoughts and sympathies to the crew and their families at this difficult time.
They have said they are in regular contact with the operators of the vessel, and will continue to monitor the situation.
