Motorists in the south of the Island face disruption thanks to two new road work schemes which have started today.
The Department of Infrastructure is starting highway improvement works and road resurfacing in Castletown and Port St Mary.
The works in Port St Mary are due to last for 11 days and will dramatically improve the quality of the road surface on Plantation Road to the Four Roads roundabout.
Station Road will be closed daily between 9am and 4pm while the work is done.
Drainage improvements and resurfacing work in Castletown on Alexandra Road is expected to run into the middle of next month.
Traffic lights will be in operation and from September 3rd there will be evening road closures between Alexandra Bridge and Malew Road to allow the resurfacing to take place.
