A campaign has been started to try and encourage the Manx Government to up the amount of money it currently gives in overseas aid.
Currently the Isle of Man donates 0.07 per cent of the gross national income to some of the world’s poorest countries.
In 2004 government pledged to work towards the UN recommended target of 0.7 per cent by 2015.
Now the Point One campaign is trying to work towards this goal by asking for the amount to be raised to 0.1 per cent.
