Around 10,000 people were affected by a widespread power failure in Douglas yesterday.
It happened at around 3pm and struck areas including Glen Vine, Braddan and Tromode.
The MEA says the problem was caused by a high voltage overhead line fault in Union Mills.
The majority of supplies were restored within 90 minutes with the final customer’s supply rectified at 6pm.
Members of the public have been thanked for helping to identify the fault areas which the MEA says helped to enable the restoration to be completed as quickly as possible.
