Ideas for the regeneration of the Island’s ancient capital are progressing rapidly according to the local MHK.
Richard Ronan, who is chairman of the Castletown Regeneration Committee, said numerous different plans on how to revitalise the area are currently being drawn up.
It’s part of an island-wide regeneration scheme and will see things like new seating areas, paving and lighting systems installed.
The main focus of the plans is Castletown Square and it’s hoped that George Lane, which leads to it, will get a facelift by the start of next year.
Mr Ronan said the committee would be working closely with Manx National Heritage:
