Social Care plans housing development for Farmers Arms site

The Social Care Minister says his department is keen to keep building new homes while trying to balance the books for public sector housing.

The Department of Social Care is proposing big changes to the housing system as it tries to tackle a large deficit.

However, new developments are in the pipeline.

These include the Park Road site in Douglas and the Farmers Arms site in St Johns.

Planning permission has been submitted to use the land which houses the old pub and cattle mart for housing.
