In the same week that Park Road School shut its doors for the final time, tomorrow will see Bride School close, after serving the community for well over a century.
It was announced in February that the school which houses infants would be forced to close as it was no longer deemed viable.
Only ever a small school, it saw its students numbers dwindle over the years, with only three pupils attending the facility currently - they will be relocated to Andreas.
Head teacher Bronwen Udy told us that although drastic action was anticipated, it was still a shock to have the closure confirmed:(play media file below)
The life of the School and its contribution to the community will be celebrated today at St Bridget's Church.
