A hop on and hop off bus service in Laxey, which links the upper and lower parts of the village, will operate through the summer following a decision to extend its trial period.
The Laxey Link Bus was initially launched last month on a four week trial basis as part of a wide ranging plans for the regeneration of the area.
Due to the positive response the operator, Tours IOM, has agreed to keep the 15 seater bus running throughout the school summer holidays.
A decision will then be made on the long-term viability of the service which is aimed at providing an economic boost to local businesses by encouraging people to spend more time in the village.
