Victoria Street in Douglas has been named as the preferred site for a new bus station.
The current interchange at Lord Street is due to be developed so a new location has to be found.
A number of potential sites within a 400 metre radius of the town centre have been examined.
These included the Sea Terminal, the plot on the promenade next to Villiers Square, the Steam Packet buildings and a block of flats on Lord Street.
However, the lower end of Victoria Street, on the same side as RBS, has been picked as the favourite spot.
Director of Highways Richard Pearson says it's very close to the centre and is suited in other ways too: [play media file below]
The Departments of Infrastructure and Community, Culture and Leisure have announced this afternoon that they're going to be consulting with the public over the plans and are seeking feedback.
