Parents who want to receive financial assistance to help in sending their children to pre-school can now submit their applications.
The Department of Education and Children will be bringing an end to pre-school provision at the end of the summer term.
It will be replaced by a government-funded credit scheme to help towards the cost of places.
A credit certificate worth £350 will be made available to parents of eligible children who reach their fourth birthday between 1st September and 31st August.
There is an additional £800 for those children who would be eligible for free school meals.
The new system will be available for parents to use at any Department of Social Care-registered provider.
Forms can be collected from the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal, the DEC head office at Hamilton House or by ringing 651540.
