Tests have confirmed that there was never any risk to health from Island tap water.
On Sunday, thousands of households were advised to boil their drinking water for 48 hours after raw supplies reaching the Douglas treatment works were found to contain high levels of sediment.
It was a precautionary measure and that advice has now been lifted.
Public health officials say there were no abnormalities found in samples taken.
They say there are no short or long term health implications and the water was never contaminated with sewerage or any toxic substance.
