An educational Manx charity that’s taking over a number of government run pre-schools is offering taster sessions to potential pupils.
Mooinjer Veggey will operate five of the pre-schools from September following government’s decision to privatise the provision of pre-school education.
The charity which promotes the use of Manx Gaelic will now take over Ballacottier, Ballasalla and Manor Park, as well as retaining the operation of Ashley Hill and Willaston.
Chief Executive of the Department of Education and Children, Stuart Dobson, said while the promotion of the Manx language was important – it wasn’t why the charity was chosen:
