Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Two people have been arrested after a suspected arson attack on a vehicle in Douglas.

Fire crews received reports of a camper van on fire in the Rosemount area at around 1am on Sunday.

A passerby had extinguished the flames by the time fire fighters arrived.

The vehicle had been parked in the forecourt of a car showroom.

Police are treating the blaze as suspicious but say it appears to be an isolated incident.

The two suspects have been released on bail.

As the investigation continues, police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The number for Police Headquarters is 631212.
