Isle of Man Bank is opening a number of branches until 7pm this evening in order to assist customers who are facing problems with their accounts.
Branches in Regent Street, Ramsey, Castletown and Peel and the NatWest branch in Douglas will open until 7pm.
The Director of Customer Services for the RBS Group, Susan Allen, said progress was being made to clear the backlog of payments and she was “cautiously optimistic” that RBS and NatWest customers would be largely back to normal from tomorrow.
She said the knock on effects of the technical failure meant there would be bumps in the road but that further disruption to customers would be minimised.
Any customers who incur overdraft fees or charges on current accounts will have these charges waivered.
The Group has said it will also work directly with credit agencies to ensure no one has their credit score affected.
