Peter Karran hits back at comments from Chief Minister

Peter Karran says it was his own decision to vote against the £24m Pinewood Studios investment plan and he wasn’t forced to do so by his political party.

Mr Karran was sacked as a government minister yesterday for not supporting the motion in Tynwald.

Chief Minister Allan Bell has said Mr Karran did support the idea in the Council of Ministers but changed his tune when he was told to do by Liberal Vannin.

Mr Karran is the leader of the political party.

However, he says he opposed the move because Mr Bell didn’t convince him that the investment is a good idea.[play media file below]
