The Chief Minister says he’d hoped Peter Karran would ignore pressure from his political party and vote in favour of the Pinewood investment.
Mr Karran has been sacked from his ministerial position for strongly opposing plans for government to invest £24m in the film industry.
Allan Bell told Energy FM News that Mr Karran was in support of the proposals when they were put before the Council of Ministers.
However, he was then instructed by Liberal Vannin to oppose the plans when they went before Tynwald yesterday.
Mr Bell says appointing Mr Karran as a Minister was a risk worth taking.[Play media file below]
