Economic Development Minister has said there will be an investigation into the gridlock caused by the TT races.
The matter was raised in Tynwald by North Douglas MHK John Houghton who wanted to know why access points weren’t opened as advertised on June 6th.
John Shimmin said although it appeared to be a simple question it related to a complex situation where the organisers had to take a number of factors into account.
This was the busiest day of the race fortnight, hampered by bad weather.
Due to this there was a delay in opening the Signpost and Bedstead crossing points which led to gridlock.
