The Department of Education and Children has said it is still hopeful there will be pre-school provision in place in Bride and Jurby by September.
Last week it announced which private providers would be taking over the government facilities from the end of the summer term.
It follows a decision to stop providing free places as part of a cost saving exercise.
No one bid for the Jurby site, although the department says it is now in discussion with a third party for it.
The site at Bride wasn’t deemed economically viable but Chief Executive Stuart Dobson says it will now be re-advertised on different terms:
