Five on the Queen's Birthday Honours List

Five people from the Isle of Man have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Three people will be made a Member of the Order of the British Empire and two will be awarded the British Empire Medal.

Those on the MBE list include David Downie for services to the Hyperbaric Chamber, Denis Maxwell for services to Manx Government and Kevin Christian for services to maritime safety.

William Kneale will receive the British Empire Medal for services to the ex-services and Eleanor Shimmin will receive hers for services to music.
