The Head of Motorsport has said government didn’t feel it was necessary to step in to assist those TT visitors who were affected by the bad weather.
Despite good weather during practice week, race week saw frequent bouts of rain and less than favourable conditions for those people staying on campsites.
It led to a Facebook campaign which saw hundreds of members of the public stepping in to open their homes up for free, and offer bike fans a bed for the night, a hot shower and facilities to dry out their clothes.
Trevor Hussey told ENERGY FM that while he praised the public for offering assistance, government didn’t feel it needed to implement its wet weather plan:
