News that the Manx Government wants a multi-million pound stake in Pinewood Studios has grabbed the attention of media across the globe.
If all goes to plan the Isle of Man will become a major shareholder in the hugely successful and renowned film studios.
Since 1995 the Island has invested over £170 million in 97 cinema and TV ventures.
For a £24 million investment in Pinewood Shepperton, the Island would have a stake just shy of 20%.
In return, the company would be responsible for sourcing and advising on future opportunities for the Island.
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare is hopeful the idea will get the full backing of Tynwald:(Play media file below)
