Police seize cannabis with street value of £140,000

A 36 year old man from Anagh Coar will appear in court this morning charged with drug related offences.

It comes after police seized cannabis with a street value of almost £140,000 from a car and garage in the area on Sunday.

Acting Detective Inspector Steve Maddocks said this was another example of directly targeting people involved in the supply of controlled drugs to and on the Island.

He added that drugs have a detrimental effect on the community and quality of life and said police would continue to target criminals involved in this activity.
