West End director for Footloose production

Young people on the Island will have the chance to learn from a West End director if they sign up to take part in a production of Footloose.

The Youth Arts Centre in Douglas is staging the production in the summer and has appointed Chris Hatt as its consultant musical director.

He was responsible for the show’s run in London and for the touring production and is currently the musical director for Billy Elliot – The Musical.

Head of youth arts, Fiona Helleur, said it was an exciting opportunity for young performers:
