Motorcyclist dies following crash at Alpine

A motorcyclist injured in a crash at Alpine last week has died.

52 year old Neil Ford from West Yorkshire was involved in a collision with a Renault car on the main road between Kirk Michael and Ballaugh last Wednesday morning.

Both vehicles were travelling towards Ballaugh at the time.

The occupants of the car were uninjured.

Police have confirmed Mr Ford passed away in Noble’s Hospital on Friday.

A Coroner’s inquest will be held in due course.

It's the fourth fatality on the Island's roads since the start of this year's TT festival.
