Children taught about TT road hazards

Sat, 19 May 2012

The Island's school children are being educated on the dangers the roads pose during the TT festival.

The annual road safety campaign has been launched this week, with the familiar tag line "Stay Alert, Stay Alive."

A big part of the focus is to make road users aware of potential hazards and police also hope to nip dangerous riding or driving in the bud, before problems occur.

Messages are also going out to the schools in the form of fact sheets and games for children to play to make them aware of how the influx of visitors causes more risks on the roads.
