Planned regulation changes from the Communications Commission could result in lower mobile phone bills for the Manx public.
The regulatory body is to consult over the Mobile Termination Rates, charges which are applied by a phone network for receiving calls from another operator.
Under the proposals, the Commission would be able to direct Manx Telecom and Cable and Wireless Isle of Man on the rates that they charge.
Similar regulations already exist in all other European countries.
The Commission believes bringing in this measure on the Island would bring down the cost of mobile phone calls.
