Mark Cavendish is leading the points classification at the Giro d'Italia, despite missing out on victory in yesterday's stage.
The Manx cyclist takes over the lead for the sprinter's red jersey after finishing 4th in stage 11.
It was the longest stage of the event, which is now past the half way point.
There are just two flat stages left as the race heads into the mountains.
The Giro is the only of the grand tours which the world champion hasn't already topped the points classification in.
Stage 11 was won by Roberto Ferrari, who caused Cavendish to crash earlier in the event.
