Tynwald is to support policies which encourage economic growth.
Members unanimously approved a motion by Michael MHK Alfred Cannan calling for the Island's parliament to back ideas that promote growth and investment.
Mr Cannan told Tynwald that work to balance the budget and reduce spending is important, but that not enough is being done to put more money in the public purse.
Members debated the motion into the evening session, outlining some of the work already being done to encourage growth, before voting in favour of the suggestion.
