Witnesses sought to Laxey assault

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted in Laxey.

It happened on Saturday night, whilst the Blues Festival was taking place in the village.

A fight broke out between a group of men and women near the Snaefell Tram Crossing on New Road at around 11.00pm.

The victim suffered head and upper body injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he was kept in overnight but has since been discharged and is making a good recovery.

Officers want to speak to a driver who was forced to stop after the fight spilled out in to the road.
