Statement on land exchange investigation to be made

There'll be an update on plans for a land exchange at Michael Primary School in this month's sitting of Tynwald.

Brenda Cannell, one of the MHKs serving on a committee looking into the plans for a land swap, will make a statement.

The Committee was set up to look into the deal to give the playing field at the school to a property developer in exchange for a larger plot of land nearby.

MHK Alfred Cannan asked the investigation to examinine the agreement, payments and other access to the land for development.

Planning permission for the housing was turned down but new plans have since been drawn up.
