Road to close as crashed car is removed

A road is to close later whilst a crashed car is removed.

The Tholt y Will Road will shut between the Bungalow on the Mountain Road and the Claddagh Road in Sulby from ten o clock this morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened in the early hours of Sunday morning on the Tholt y Will Road.

The driver, an Onchan man, has been discharged from hospital since the crash, which saw his car leave the road and slide down the valley.

Officers say specialist lifting equipment will be needed to retrieve the car, and the operation is expected to take around three hours.
