Police are investigating a dog attack on livestock at Sandygate.
Around 150 sheep and lambs were grazing in a field near to the crossroads when an unknown breed of dog attacked a ewe.
It happened between 6.00pm on Monday and 6.00pm yesterday.
The animal suffered severe bite wounds.
Police believe the dog would have had blood on it after the attack.
It's reminded that a farmer has the right to shoot a dog if it's worrying livestock on their land.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Ramsey Police Station.
