'Jammin' for Jamie' raises funds for Victim Support

Tue, 01 May 2012

Fundraising efforts in memory of an Onchan teenager who died in a tragic accident have already raised over £1,000 for charity.

19 year old Jamie Haslett died in Sheffield in 2010 after being hit by a police car.

He had been in his second year at university.

Jamie was a big music fan and performed in a local band called the Pointless Jesters.

A band night held recently was a success and it's hoped more will follow.

'Jammin' for Jamie' charity wrist bands have gone on sale today at Esquires in Douglas.

The money is being raised for Victim Support who've been helping the family.
