Committee to investigate preschool policy

A Tynwald Committee is to look into the preschool provision.

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee has been asked by 10 Tynwald members to look into the DEC's policy on preschool education.

Education Minister Peter Karran will appear before the Committee later this week.

Mr Karran and a number of other members of the Department were already scheduled to give evidence to the committee on Wednesday.

Anyone with evidence to submit to the committee regarding preschool education should send it to the Clerk of the Committee by the end of next month.

The Committee is made up of Brenda Cannell, Steve Rodan and Juan Turner, who won't be taking part in the committee's scrutiny of the DEC as he is now a political member of the Department.
