The police officer accused of causing the death of a Manx student by careless driving has been found not guilty.
PC Rodney Mills was charged after Onchan teenager Jamie Haslett died when he was hit by a police patrol car in Sheffield in October 2010.
The court has heard Mills was travelling at nearly twice the speed as he responded to a 'priority' call out.
He wasn't using sirens or flashing blue lights.
Mills said he hadn't expected the 19 year old to run out in front of his car.
The 42 year old has been cleared of committing an offence.
The Judge at Bradford Crown Court praised Mr Haslett's family for the “tremendous dignity” they showed throughout the trial.
