Woman assaulted in Douglas

A woman has been assaulted as she walked alone in Douglas.

It happened at around 10.45pm on Friday.

The victim was walking from Lower Dukes Road to Woodbourne Road when she became aware of a young white male nearby.

Words were exchanged between the pair in the area of Africa House and the man tried to grab the woman.

She panicked and fled.

Police say the suspect is around 18 or 19 years old, with short blond hair.

He was wearing a light coloured hooded top.
