Doctors say Robin Gibb is responding well to treatment after waking from a coma.
The Manx singer fell into a coma after contracting pneumonia following treatment for colon and liver cancer.
His doctor says he's shown extraordinary courage and deep reserves of physical strength.
The 62 year old is now fully conscious and talking to his family as well as being able to breath on his own with the aid of an oxygen mask.
Doctors hope he can be moved out of intensive care once he no longer needs the oxygen mask.
It had been thought the Bee Gees star had just days to live when he slipped into the coma.
