MHK Zac Hall has been suspended from the Liberal Vannin Party following the row over pre-school provision.
Mr Hall has already lost his departmental membership for Education and Children for going against decisions made by Minister Peter Karran.
Mr Karran is also the leader of the Liberal Vannin Party.
The party has confirmed this evening that Mr Hall has had his membership suspended.
MHK John Houghton was also removed from the DEC for rebelling against Mr Karran and failing to turn up to a debate in Tynwald.
The party says "the public of the Isle of Man should be under no illusion; both MHK’s, since taking their positions in the Education Department, have continually undermined Mr Karran’s and the Chief Executive’s efforts to bring about an affordable and universal nursery school service on the Isle of Man."
"They had no respect for the debating chamber or the President by making themselves absent from a debate to which they both had responsibility to contribute. What could they have contributed to that debate? They offered no alternative solution to the nursery education scheme, only criticisms to it and had no plan other than to request more money which they knew was not available."
Chairman Roy Redmayne says "I assure you that Mr Hall will be brought to account for his actions and his failure to adhere to our manifesto."
Mr Hall hasn't spoken fully about the matter in public so far, but he plans to make a full statement this week.
