A request for Tynwald to approve funding of almost £3m for improvement works at a local primary school has been delayed.
Education Minister Peter Karran had been due to ask for approval for the scheme at today's sitting.
However, the motion was withdrawn from the order paper as members hadn't been properly briefed because of the Easter holidays.
It will be brought back next month.
The Department of Education and Children wants to extend Victoria Road School in Castletown to add two new classrooms and a multi-purpose hall.
There are also plans to improve the kitchen facilities, convert the current hall into a classroom and library and ensure disabled access.
The DEC says the current hall doesn't meet the curriculum needs, whilst the school building needs to comply with forthcoming disability laws.
