Car becomes wedged on railings

A motorist has escaped without serious injury after her car became wedged on railings on Douglas Promenade.

The sliver/blue Vauxhall lost control on Harris Promenade at around 6.30pm yesterday (Sunday).

Police and an ambulance were called to the scene.

The female driver was found to be shaken but not badly hurt.

Witnesses claim the car was turning into Church Road Marina from the Broadway direction, when it crashed through the metal railings and onto the kerb, before coming to rest on another section of the railings.
