Two lambs have been killed after being attacked by dogs in Crosby.
A number of other sheep including two pregnant ewes were also injured in a field near Ballavitchell Farm.
One of the dogs responsible is said to be an all-white Staffy type.
The other is similar in appearance to a greyhound with long dark brown hair.
After the attack at around 5.30pm yesterday, the dogs fled towards Peel Road.
Police say the wounds to the injured sheep could yet prove fatal.
Anyone who can help identify the dogs responsible is asked to contact Peel Police Station.
Despite annual reminders for dog owners to take care around the lambing season, such incidents occur every year on the Island.
