Manx half marathon named in top 10 running events

The Isle of Man half marathon is one of the top ten running events in the British Isles according to a UK newspaper.

The Independent has compiled a list of ten shorter alternatives to the London Marathon, which takes place next weekend.

The paper says the half marathon provides plenty for the semi-serious runner as well as lovely views.

This year's half marathon and marathon take place on July 22nd.

Also featuring in the top ten are the Great Manchester Run, Cancer Research's Race for Life events and the Great Gorilla Run, which sees all participants dressed in gorilla suits.
