The Chief Minister says he's disappointed that Allied Irish Banks is pulling out of the Isle of Man.
It was announced this morning that AIB is to begin winding down its operation on the Island, finishing its business here by the end of next year.
Allan Bell says he's saddened by the announcement, which will affect the company's 115 employees.
The bank says the decision has been taken following a strategic review, and that it wants to concentrate on being a smaller, domestically focused bank.
The company is to begin consulting with its staff in the near future, and all customers will be contacted shortly.
