House of Keys to discuss cutbacks, locum doctors and taxis

Tue, 03 Apr 2012

Health cutbacks, locum doctors and the taxi trade are amongst the topics to be discussed in the House of Keys this morning.

Douglas East MHK Brenda Cannell wants Health Minister David Anderson to outline any plans for health cutbacks, whilst South Douglas member Kate Beecroft will be asking for details on the numbers and cost of locum doctors currently working on the Island.

Infrastructure Minister David Cretney will give a statement on the Island's taxi trade, following a request from Onchan MHK David Quirk.

Government cuts to preschool education is the subject of a number of other questions on the order paper.

The House of Keys sits from 10.00 this morning.
