The Chief Minister says the Manx government needs to explain its policies more effectively and be more humble.
Allan Bell was speaking after a meeting this week when the Council of Ministers fielded questions from members of the public.
The event was organised in response to criticism that the last government didn't communicate properly.
Well over 100 people turned up looking for answers on a range of topics including education cuts and rises in the cost of living.
Mr Bell says the meeting was a success and there'll be more in future.
He believes people appreciated having the chance to ask questions.[Play media file below]
